In Romania, installing a solar carport usually requires obtaining a building permit, as it involves both constructing a new structure and installing solar panels. According to Law no. 50/1991 on the authorization of construction works, amended by Law no. 21/2023, the installation of photovoltaic panels on existing building roofs can be done without a building permit, provided prior notification to local authorities and compliance with current legislation. However, this exception does not apply to new constructions, such as solar carports, which require a building permit.

We usually use foundation screws or massive concrete foundations, on which the structure is securely fixed. A soil investigation is recommended to determine the most suitable foundation solution, thus optimizing costs and construction durability.
